THE WINTER DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Come to the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground and learn winter driving techniques on the same tracks the pros use.

Visit us above the snow line in the Pisa Mountain Range. Across the valley and below they ski and board, but here we are absolutely motorized. SHPG is one of only a handful of automotive winter test facilities in the world. Automotive and tyre companies from Europe, Japan, Germany, America, and more file in every winter to take advantage of our professionally groomed vehicle dynamics areas and road courses…now so can you!

Our basic one and two day courses concentrate on teaching the technique, theory, and mindset for proper driving on the most challenging surfaces there are- snow packed roads. Run through exercises that are the standard for tire and vehicle evaluation the world over. We will introduce you to the world of low grip and high slip and teach you how to handle it!

Learn the basics of modulated acceleration and threshold braking, steering and throttle response in the slalom and evasive lane change, and then put it all together on the autocross.

We have the ability to combine your winter driving experience with luxury accommodation, genuine southern hospitality, and custom tailored catering. We can create courses with your group of enthusiasts in mind or as team building exercises for your corporate group. Combine your driving experience with a conference in our 40 bed onsite lodge or just get a group of mates together for an action packed day on the snow.

Courses are running through August and begin on the 9th/10th, we are also open to group bookings (min 6) and can provide an exclusive course to suit your group.
